The 2027/28 New Year trip will return to the popular Blencathra 2 ½ miles east of Keswick, in the heart of the Lake District. Walks and mountain bike rides are available from the centre and there are kayaking and indoor climbing opportunities very close by.

We will be staying at Blencathra Field Centre which is situated on the side of Blencathra Mountain with stunning views across to the Central Lakes, we have exclusive use of the main building and its facilities. The centre has large communal space for chilling and socialising. It is the same centre which was used in 2023/24, 2015/2016 and 2018/2019 for which good feedback was received - everyone was very happy with the trip, the accommodation and the location.

Activity leaders propose events for each day and of course the price includes the New Year's Eve black tie dinner and party will feature your playlist where most people show off their best moves. All festivities to be walked off with a group hike up Blencathra after a good breakfast of course. 

The centre’s award-winning eco-friendly accommodation uses electricity which is generated by the Centre’s own hydro scheme and its heating which is powered by
Cumbrian-sourced biomass.
