For those who have undertaken their Paddle UK - Canoe or Kayak Explore Award and wish to progress to a moving water environment. This one day course introduces the knowledge and skills together practical sessions to enable you to be a member of a led group in a dynamic water environment. 

The course includes "reading" moving water, hazard awareness, protocols, self-rescue and assisted rescue (as casualty swimmer), a full day out using Symonds Yat rapids.

If you have undertaken this course previously and wish to refresh the above please feel free to contact the organiser, Priority will be given to those who have not undertaken the course before.

No kayak or canoe is needed for this training.

There will be follow on day course on 27 Sept paddling your chosen craft, kayak or canoe, in a moving water (grade II).
